Vintage Teak Candidate Lounge Chair

Here is the Kandidaten model armchair in teak, designed by Ib Kofod-Larsen and produced in Sweden by Olof Persons Fåtöljindustri (OPE), circa 1958. This design is also known as the Candidate Chair, or as Model Nr 806.
This lounge chair is in excellent vintage condition. It has brand new foam and upholstery in Kvadrat’s Hallingdal wool fabric (Color # 457). Very nice finish on the teak frame. There are some minor marks and other normal signs of age and use on the wood, but overall it is in excellent condition. Under the cushion there are some marks from the staples and screws that held on the old aftermarket straps, but brand new and correct No 405 Fagas straps were just installed. This chair is both beautiful and comfortable. It is marked with “Made is Sweden” on the underside.
