Nice, solid Oak small Hoop Back Windsor side chair ... could be a sewing or knitting chair. It has a small profile at 34" H (17.5" seat height) and about 14" Deep and 14" Wide (seat about 14" x 13.5"), yet it sits an average sized adult just fine.
Marked on the underside (as shown) S. Bent & Bros Inc. 1867 Gardner, Mass.
Solid, sturdy chair ... likely 50 to 70 years old. On the stretcher bar joins underneath you can see old glue repairs. There are smudges to the seat. The underside has old green paint on it. It wears it's age well ... great look in an unusual size.
