Penn Antique Restoration Vintage "Nichols
& Stone"
Maple Windsor Dining Chair * The color of the chair depends on your lighting.
We took photos inside
under florescent lighting and
some outside around sunset to give you a better idea of the chair's color. Elegant, solid wood dining chair made by, "Nichols & Stone," of
Gardner, MA sometime during the second half of the
previous century. It's made of solid maple wood and retains its original, dark stain
and finish. It has beautifully turned turned legs, stretchers, and spindles in
the backrest. The backrest is arched and the seat has a saddle shape. Our carpenter inspected the
chair from top to bottom, and didn't need to make any repairs nor reinforce
anything. The chair is in excellent condition with
only the typical nicks and
scratches that you would expect to find on an old, used chair. There are no breaks,
cracks, dents, gouges, rot, or warp. The worst flaws are the spots of worn finish here and
there,. Otherwise, the chair
is
strong and sturdy, and ready for another lifetime
of service. Dimensions Seat : 17 3/4 "W
x 15"D Height : (Floor to Seat) 17 3 /4 " (Floor to Top of backrest) 35 1 /4 " (Backrest only) 19 1/2 "
