Included are two vintage 1972 Ray and Charles Eames / Herman Miller Upholstered Fiberglass Shell DXW Side Chairs with Naugahyde covers. The shell on one chair is Terra Cotta (TC) with #1779 Terra Cotta Naugahyde. The other chair has a Grey/Yellow (YG) shell with #1760 Raw Umber Light Naugahyde. Both have Fourth Generation chrome H-Frame legs.
The fiberglass shells are in very good condition for the age of the chairs, and the frame legs are in good condition for the age with some rust spots. One nylon glide is missing from one chair however glides can be found online for sale.
While the Naugahyde covers are in generally good condition, each chair has one significant hole / burn mark. There are some other stains, indentures, small puncture marks and scuffs. The holes in the Naugahyde could be repaired using a vinyl/leather patch kit and matching the color. The stitching on both chairs are in good shape. See the pictures for actual condition of the covers, shell and legs.
The mounting hardware for both chairs has been replaced with new bolts and shock washers similar to the original. Both chairs and legs have been cleaned. In order to keep shipping costs down both chairs will be dissembled and packaged together carefully in a single oversized box for delivery. Re-assembly will be required by the purchaser.
