Please contact directly for quote 🔸🔸🙏🏻 An Amazing Set of 6, early 1970’s, Vintage Mid Century Modern model D43Wicker/Rattan and Chrome Cantilever Basket Dining Chairs designed by Preban Fabricius & Jorgen Kastholm for Harvey Probber in Denmark. A rare set of Probber chairs featuring cube shaped frames with a woven wicker/rattan basket seat resting on a tubular chrome cantilever base.
These square club style dining chairs with a cantilevered base and come with theoriginal loose (removable/not attached) off-white canvas cushions have a classic modern design that are wildly comfortable enough to be used without cushions.
The chairs are in Excellent vintage condition.
The chrome is pristine and untarnished condition.
No pitting or rust at all.
There is some slight oxidation on extremely close inspection which is consistent age and as would be expected with original pieces of this era.
The wicker is also in amazing condition with no breaking, some wear on arms also consistent with age and use.
The cushions are in very good condition, they do have some spots and stains, but are quite serviceable.
The chairs (as all were)are unmarked. Preban Fabricius and Jorgen Kastholm worked together between 1960-1968 in Denmark and designed for many different Danish manufactures including Harvey Probber.
