Ships FREE The rustic log dining chairs are very sturdy and solid. Great for families with kids as they won't tip easily plus they are both sturdy and the wood is rustic so a few nicks and scratches will only enhance the 'rusticness'. Easy to keep clean with nice smooth finish. Should you get a deeper scratch or nick, just simply dab on some stain and varnish to bring it back to the original look. They will last for many years.   Solid pine edge-glued panels are used for the seat with a slight backward tilt for very comfy seating. Engraving design is on the BACK of the chairs. We choose to work with lodgepole pine as it grows naturally in the forests of NW montana and is known for its superior strength to weight ratio. It is also straighter, thus making it easier to work the raw wood into the highest quality furniture possible. Our lodge pole pine is harvested in the Kootenai National Forest via a very selective process. Skilled woodsmen select each tree with an attentive eye toward the quality, straightness and size of each specimen. After felling, each piece is hand carried to the road to ensure both the tree and the environment remain unharmed. Then each log is hand peeled, using the skip-peel method where some of the inner bark is left on, creating a beautiful rustic piece of furniture for your home, lodge or cabin.
