Always excited to offer up a rare or unique piece. Based on the incredible engineering and the use of the Herza bolts, I believe this fine mid-century rattan rocking chair to be German engineered. I have not bern able to find a single 2 piece design anywhere to make a comparison. 4 through the frame Herza 5.6 bolts fasten the entire upper seat body of the chair to the lower rocker framework. The unique properties of webbing, bracing and supports provide for incredible strength in a very light petite design. The tapered bucket design of the seat is very comfortable. Meadirements are as follows: tapered seat height from 14" to 12". Full length of rocker bars 33". Arm height 22". Back height 31" and chair width 24". Based on overall aged appearance of the bamboo I am estimating date of creation between 1955-1965. I have little else to go on and openly welcome any information that can be provided. Arthur
