For your consideration is one (1) authentic, rare, original vintage EAMES Herman Miller chair with Alexander Girard purple naugahyde on parchment fiberglass armshell. Note: The price is for the complete chair (vintage armshell chair and recent rocker base made to original Eames specifications) * * If you wish to substitute the recent rocker base with a vintage Eames H-base or vintage Eames swivel base, you may do so at no additional charge. Just make the request upon purchase.
Rare purple naugahyde, Herman Miller logo on the underside of the fiberglass shell with rare interlocking double Summit triangles.
Overall great vintage condition with signs of typical wear, notably a small "Z" shaped cut to the right side of the naugahyde, as depicted. There's also some rubber edge lifting, as depicted, which is a result of temperature change and is common with Eames upholstered chairs. You can pull the naugahyde and snap it back in place and reinforce with adhesive. Selling as is and already reflected in the price.
Provenance tag still intact, as shown. No cracks or integral damage. The cushion is still very plush and soft. A comfortable chair that will endure for decades more.
