Elaborate hand carvings throughout, with cathedral spires flanking the upper open cared tracery crown. Large, paneled backs are fully carved with two heraldic shields amidst more gothic tracery and floral medallions. Linen fold designs on the lower bench fronts AND on both sides, making these benches excellent focal points from all angles. (Also of note, generous storage inside the lift top bench seats). An amazing pair that would certainly be the center of attention in any room, from foyer to dining, from a lodge to a castle! They’ve been together for 130 years, so we couldn’t make ourselves separate them now!! Well built by craftsmen of the period, circa 1890. Measurements: 65” ht. x 26” x 20” . Seat ht. 18.5”.
