Beautiful vintage Set of Six (6) Dining Chairs by American of Martinsville consisting of 2 Captain's Chairs & 4 Side Chairs.
To me, they have an Asian inspired design with the high, slightly curved back, and brass adornments as finials to the tops and rings where the legs meet the seat. These chairs go back ... late 50s, into the 60s, and most would attribute their design to Merton Gershun, although all I know for sure is they are tagged Amercian of Martinsville as shown.
Excellent condition, with no flaws worth mentioning. Nothing beyond light, honest vintage wear and the cane is near 100% on every chair. They have floral on black upholstered seats. You may like that ... you may wish to change that.
