Product Description Lafuma Replacement Laces for RSX and RSX X-Large Recliners(Black) These laces can be used on the following Lafuma brand chairs: -RT -RS -RSX -RSX-XL -Futura -R3000 The replacement kit includes the following: -2 Short laces for upper portion of chair (approx.22-24 inches) approx. 62 cm -2 long laces for the lower portion of chair(approx. 48-54 inches) approx. 135 cm They areshrink wrapped on a very small cardboard that has a basic sketch of theinstalled laces and no other instructions. Therefore, IT IS VERY ADVISABLE TOREMOVE THE LACES FROM ONLY ONE SIDE AT A TIME and use the other side as apattern for installing the new laces on the other side. Installing the newlaces is not difficult but requires strong hands and fingers, a sharp eye, anda little patience. Start at the top with the short laces as theyare easier to install that the longer ones. The old laces were doubled inseveral places while the new laces are not, so they are easier to install. Do one side at a time so you can see how the other side is laced. Remove one lace ata time and thread following the pattern on the other side.
Use pliers to pull the end through for the last hole, if needed. A second helper, helps.
Turn the chair on its side and pull the elastic from the first hole, to the second, etc.,
to make more length for the last few holes. It should be tight so the seat doesn’t sag.I used a spoon handle to pull the elastic. In putting them on you have to pull hard at the first part of lacing them up. Two of us worked together and on held what had already been laced and the other laced and pulled. Installation Directions from the web: Double lacing is no longer required, this is thicker, better elastic. Package comes with 4 Laces(2 Short for the Back section, and 2 Long for the Bottom and Leg section). I removed one lace at a time, that way I had the other side to use as a pattern to see how to replace it. Sometimes you have to go under and other times over, but as long as you have the other side to use as a pattern, you are good! Keep working the "stretch" down to the end or you will be going back and working it down. I would definitely purchase these again! DO ONE SIDE AT A TIMESO YOU CAN REFERENCE THE WEAVING PATTERN ON THE OPPOSITE SIDE OF THE CHAIR!!

IT IS VERY IMPORTANTTO STRETCH THE LACES AND KEEP TENSION ON THE LACES AS YOU WEAVE, OR YOU WILLNOT HAVE ENOUGH CORD TO FINISH THE JOB! STRETCH AND HOLD ON EACHLOOP OR YOU WILL RUN OUT OF CORD! Double lacing is no longer required. This is thicker better elastic. CAVEAT: Please note: This is not a universal replacement set . May not fit all brands or types of gravity recliners. This is a thicker cord with thick plastic ends. No returns please.
