J Colignon Chaise Lounge Chair

Victorian Tapestry folding chaise lounge chair manufactured by the J Colignon company of New Jersey following it's 1877 patent. Popular on steamships and resorts--on docks and decks--the light-weight folding chair is easily moved. The chair is fully functional and usable. It folds, and all hardware appears original. The woven rattan seat base has one piece of wood in need of repair (as seen in photo). I lack the expertise to know whether it has been reupholstered or not.
