Vintage Danish Modern side or dining chair. Design #26 by P. Kirkegaard for Hong Stolefabrik, circa 1950s/1960s. Bent wood back and seat, solid wood legs and other supports. I am unsure whether the wood is teak or walnut or other. It is upholstered in vinyl, it may or may not be the original upholstery. The slotted-screw hardware is consistent with the period of manufacture. Has Hong Stolefabrik and "made in Denmark" stamps, and some evidence of other stickers that are now gone.
In used, vintage condition, and has flaws consistent with age, use, and wear. Has some nicks and dents in various places, some paint flecks, wear to the feet as shown in photos. There is visible glue in a few places and a gap in one crossbar from previous repairs as shown in photos. The vinyl upholstery has some discoloration and nicks and scratches as shown in photos. The staples on the upholstery are rusty. Seller’s
