Office Chair Post Shaft Standard Pneumatic Gas Cylinder 3" Travel / Stroke Listing is for a standard pneumatic gas cylinder lift to adjust the seat height of an office chair.  To adjust height, pull on the level / handle on your seat plate and that will trigger the activation button on top. Note the "under base Extension".  This is the part of the cylinder that comes out from under the base. Lift rated for use on chairs typically rated for persons up to 250 pounds. OVERALL LENGTH FULLY EXTENDED: 12" MINIMUM LENGTH: 9" TRAVEL: 3" Taper is standard and should fit most bases and seat plates / controls mechanism currently used in the industry.
