"barcelona Chair

Genuine Alivar produced "Barcelona" Chairs.  Alivar was chosen to manufacture the furniture pieces for the Mies Van der Rohe museum in Brno, Czech Republic.  Alivar still makes these chairs today.  (see print from their online catalog).   These are exact one to one reproductions of the original chair made in 1933.  Mies was a friend of Knoll and gave her rights but there are no exclusive rights to the Barcelona chairs.  There are many crappy copies available  many for a lot less money - but you get what you pay for.
