Penn Antique Restoration Antique Solid Oak Wood Chair w/Floral Fabric Seat * The color of the chair depends on your lighting.
These photos were taken inside
under florescent lights . Lovely, vintage armchair salvaged from an old home in
Northeastern PA. It's made of solid, oak wood and has a fabric upholstered
seat. Considering that the chair is 60 - 80
years old, it's in great condition. Our carpenter thoroughly inspected the
piece and found no repairs to make, nor anything to reinforce. He pointed out
that the top layer of the plywood has a break in it (see last photo). Since
plywood is a collection of several thin layers of wooden sheets glued together;
a single surface layer isn't a structural threat, just a cosmetic blemish.
Otherwise, the chair just has nicks, light scratches, and spots of worn stain
and finish-- common wear for a chair this old. The fabric is free of rips or tears,
stains, and odors. There is a slight depression in the cushion (see close up
photo). This chair and it's armchair counterpart (see our other listing) were
stored stacked together. The top of this chair's backrest sat on the cushion of
the armchair, and the top of the armchair left a small depression in this
chair's cushion. This chair is strong, sturdy, and ready
for a lifetime of service! Dimensions Seat : 16 3/4 "W x 14 1/4 " D Height (from floor to...) : (Seat) 17 1/2 " (Top of backrest) 38 5/8 " Backrest height : 20 3/4 "
