Danish Modern Vintage Brazilian Rosewood Model 78 Dining Chairs designed by Niles O. Moller from JL Moller Auction Note: “Best Offer” auctions often close before the end of the auction period. As soon as the seller accepts an offer from a potential customer the auction closes. This sale can take place at anytime during the auction. Often items sell before the ending time, thus closing the auction early. If you are serious about an item I would suggest making an offer or contacting me to discuss it. R etroSquad 571 330 0810 Voice & Tx “Always happy to entertain offers” As far as I am concerned, the original model 78 J.L. Moller
chair, in Brazilian Rosewood with paper chord seats, is the pinnacle of Danish design. I have often referred to the Niels Moller designed, J.L.
Moller model 78 chair as one of the most beautiful chairs in the world. They
are graceful and light in design and occupy a room like a fine modern
sculpture. Form and function combine in the model 78 to create solid and sturdy
setting that is as beautiful as it is practical. This set of four model 78 chairs in Brazilian Rosewood are
in exceptional condition and feature original paper chord seats. The set still
holds the original reddish tone and has not faded into brown as some vintage Brazilian Rosewood does. Reviewing the photos reveals expressive and dramatic black Rosewood grain patterns as well as paper chord seats in wonderful
condition. Bottom line, these original vintage chairs are in great
condition and are crafted from vintage Brazilian Rosewood which is now
considered an endangered species and has been illegal to import into the USA
since the 70s. BUT - it is perfectly legal to own vintage items that were imported long before any restrictions were place on it. Feel free to contact me and discuss this amazing set of
chairs.
