1950s Henry P Glass Swivel Lounge Chair

A swivel lounge chair designed by Henry P Glass for J.L. Chase Co. for the forecast group. Very few pieces from this group resurface, and when they do, they always sell quickly. This example is the TV swivel chair with a boxy frame and angled arms, all floating above angled brass legs. Very comfortable spring seat. Solid wood frame construction. This is built to last generations. This chair would compliment pieces made by Gio Ponti, Edward Wormley, Vladimir Kagan, Robsjohn Gibbings, Harvey Probber and others. Quintessential mid century modern.
Condition:
Legs have been newly brass plated.
New Foam and Mohair upholstery.
